I have lived my life working in the visual arts, from creating videos that made corporations look smart, creative, and alluring, to graphic design and marketing communications for dreamy medical devices. I have now thrown off the yoke, smashed the ceiling, donned my super hero persona, and repurposed my super powers using pencil, pen, and brush to create images that take the viewer to the far reaches of their mind and the universe … cue the music!

Inspiration for me comes from the natural world in which I live, breathe, and touch, then the inner world that I explore with my mind, imagination, emotions, thoughts, and space.
Images form in my mind and become real, only to dissolve then form again in a new shape and color, with new energy. I'm inspired by the influence of art and personal interpretation in the world of antique maps, how the makers viewed the world centuries ago, and how this same art was woven into illuminated manuscripts.
These map and book makers used art to illuminate the paths of the unknown to curious minds.
This is what inspires me to transform discarded architectural plans into art and create new paths and energy for curious minds to seek and find some calm and wonder.

Everything in the universe in connected, Nikola Tesla said something like that. Convergence of media is my interpretation of connection and creativity. How something is perceived is shown in how it is connected to something else, instead of defining things by how they are separated and different. Looking at something in shadow instead of full light, bending, flattening, using watercolors, pastels, textures, mixing in science and time with art. It is wonderfully chaotic yet simple.
Everything is connected, converging and diverging, appearing, disappearing, and then re-emerging.
